For further details regarding MPF and its application, it is advisable to consult with your customs broker.
US Customs charges the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) for the majority of imports into the country. The Merchandise Processing Fee is billed in what manner? A minimum of $27.75 and a maximum of $538.40 are levied for each entry of the MPF, which is calculated as 0.3464% of the declared cargo value on the commercial invoice. (If the entry value is under $2,500, MPF is a flat charge of $2.18.) On January 24, 2022, the minimum and maximum amounts were raised to the aforementioned rates. Your Beeontrade invoice lists MPF as a Customs fee. Since we do not yet know the exact value of your shipment, it will not be included in your price; however, if you would like, you may estimate it using the calculations above. Note: Both products are subject to duty and those not are subject to the MPF. For products that qualify for particular Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), such as NAFTA and CAFTA, MPF may be waived. For further details, speak with your customs broker.
